Site Name: Sanlam Head Office, Bellville Cape Town
Date: Nov 2021 – March 2022
Vertical Logic was awarded works to conduct redecoration, waterproofing, spalling repair, joint sealing and window washing on the premises.
Redecoration was focused on the main tower block (North and South), where spalling and crack repair works had to first be completed. The team then conducted a full pressure wash, prime and coat with new colors.
Joint seal around all glass canopies that were determined as critical areas were redone. Old seals were removed, joints fully cleaned out and then resealed, first with a SIKA specified sealant and then a layer of SIKAsil Bridge tape applied on top for added protection and extended guarantees.
All external glass was cleaned following the curing of the joint sealing.
Scope of works included:
- Removal of old joints seals, in water critical areas, and resealing.
- Spalling and crack repairs to main tower block – North & South
- Pressure washing, followed by application of new color spec as per clients requirements.
- Waterproofing of ledges and other areas of determined water ingress
- Washing of all glass canopies.
- Locating water leaks and waterproofing problematic areas.
